Cantaloupe Rind

Tonight I asked my husband to cut up some cantaloupe as he was putting it away after dinner. He said, "Look you could make this rind into an alligator or a lizard." I told him to give it a try and before he knew it, Tony was making a bento!

Stella has a peanut butter sandwich, some grape kabobs, sliced oranges, cantaloupe with an alligator rind and some trail mix.

Thomas has a peanut butter sandwich, sliced oranges, cantaloupe with an lizard rind and some trail mix.

Yay! I am bringing him over to the dark side;)

Pasta Lunch

I love, love, love James' new snack bento. It definitely does not hold enough for him to eat for lunch but I can give him some turkey or noodles and it is perfect.

James has some tomatoes, grapes, diced watermelon and blueberries.

The twins have some grapes, watermelon, pasta with sauce and blueberries.

Bento for Mama

I am trying new angles because my new camera picks up the colors so easily...the pink bento pictures look so, well, pink.

James has a little snack bento for tomorrow. He has some watermelon, peaches, grape tomatoes ("mato's") and grapes.

The twins have grapes, a peanut butter sandwich, watermelon and a mandarin orange.

Since James has his own bento, I thought there is no reason I should not pack something for me. I packed myself some grapes, sliced peaches, salad with carrots and tomatoes, raspberry vinaigrette and some cashews.

New Bento

When we were down in Celebration seeing the snow in Florida, I stopped into the Hello Kitty store and found this cute bento. James has been sharing my pink one so I thought it was time for his first.

It has two little containers inside that are just perfect for James.

James has some cucumbers and tomatoes shaped liked stars, some peaches and some almonds.

The twins both have sliced oranges, a peanut butter sandwich, cucumber/tomato salad and some cashews.

Back in the Saddle

Is that how the saying goes? I am getting back in the saddle. The kids are back to school tomorrow and I am back to packing lunches.

Thomas and Stella both have leftover taco soup (which they thought was chili), some oyster crackers, sliced tangerines and sliced cucumbers.
