Jack-O-Tangerine

Thomas and Stella's lunch looks the same so I am only posting one picture.

They have the last of the grapes, a jack-o-tangerine, heart shaped sticky rice and some pasta salad, and a mummy dog...or is it a ninja?? Ha! The mummy dogs I packed earlier this week were too big so I made half mummy dogs:)

I can not wait to check out the other lunches at What's for Lunch Wednesday!

Confetti Muffins

I almost did not pack lunches tonight. This week is super busy and I was feeling like a slacker. But...I did it:) This blog was meant to keep me inspired and it still does!

Thomas has turkey roll ups, some wheat thins, a 'confetti muffin' (I make the Jiffy corn muffin mix and I add shredded carrots, diced green and red peppers and frozen corn. Thomas notices ANYTHING different and he always asks what the red and green things are...I say it is the 'confetti' in the 'confetti muffins'.), a grape tomato kabob, two blueberry fig bars and some grapes.

Stella has turkey roll ups, some wheat thins, a 'confetti muffin', a grape tomato kabob, two blueberry fig bars (which almost did not make it into their lunches because they are soooo yummy!!) and some grapes.

For snacks they have another confetti muffin and some grape tomatoes and some grapes.

Simple Lunches

Everyone in our house has been fighting off a cold including me. I wasn't feeling very motivated to pack lunches so they may seem simple. But here they are:

Stella has a deconstructed sandwich with pita bread and turkey, some chocolate teddy grahams, cut up watermelon and sliced cucumbers.

Thomas has a turkey sandwich on flat bread, some chocolate teddy grahams, cut up watermelon and sliced cucumbers.

Snacks for the twins are some muffins that are still in the oven:) Oh and the pizza pockets were a hit! They kids requested them again!

This lunch is BANANAS!

Stella has some pita bread, cucumber slices, mini turkey roll ups, some cut up broccoli and halved grape tomatoes, grapes and the last of my homemade granola cups.

Thomas has turkey on a sandwich flat, some sliced cucumber, some cut up broccoli and halved grape tomatoes, grapes and the last of my homemade granola cups.

The twins have the same snack today...one-third of a banana and some cheddar rice cakes.

James has some cut up turkey, mandarin oranges, some cut up broccoli, halved tomatoes and halved grapes (I thought if I mixed some broccoli in with two things that James loves...the tomatoes and grapes...he may try the broccoli and love it??) and lastly some Annie's cheddar bunnies in the bear cup.

I will say, it has been very difficult coming up with titles for these lunch posts. I should have numbered them:)

Star Student Lunches

I began to pack lunches tonight and I realized I had run out of a lot of lunch items already. I need to remember that making dinners each night and packing lunches for everyone is better economically and nutritionally but it requires so much more effort on my part. So here we go with what I had on hand:

Thomas has a butterfly shaped turkey sandwich and a mini star turkey sandwich, trail mix, cheddar rice cakes, grapes and applesauce.

For snack, Thomas has cashews, a granola bar and some grapes.

Stella has a butterfly shaped turkey sandwich and a mini star turkey sandwich, trail mix, cheddar rice cakes, grapes and some pickled okra.

For snack, she has a granola bar and some grapes.

James has a turkey roll up, applesauce, halved grapes and some rice cakes (in the piggie container).

Oh....this MADE my day today. Thomas thanked me for making such nice lunches because the food that they sell at school doesn't always look good. He is such a sweet boy:)

I am so glad I submitted this to What's for Lunch Wednesday? because I always feel so inspired after checking out all the other submissions:)
