Sandwiches tend to be my 'go to' when it comes to school lunches but I do try to mix it up and keep lunches interesting for everyone. Here are ten of my favorite non sandwich ideas:
1. Pasta

Above is a quinoa pasta with low sugar sauce, carrot coins, salad (with dressing in the little container), strawberries, black berries and dragon fruit.

Spinach ravioli, grapes and sliced mini cucumbers.
2. Tuna Stuffed Cucumbers

This is probably my most requested lunch. Above is pineapple quarters, strawberries, baby carrots, watermelon and tuna stuffed cucumbers.
3. Chicken Pot Pie

The great thing about laptop lunches is the lids for some of the containers. So when I pack something like chicken pot pie, you can pop a lid on it and it does not get messy. My children have never complained about eating leftovers cold so it works for us.
4. Shredded Chicken

I always have a shredded chicken dish in my weekly rotation so for lunches, I will just serve over rice with some veggies and the kiddos love it.

Shredded chicken over garlic black beans and rice, rice chips, banana and baby carrots.
5. Salads

This is an easy salad with cut up chicken, mandarin oranges and crispy Chinese noodles, along with a plum, black berries and poppy seed dressing.
6. Quinoa Bites

This is a great recipe and you really can add just about anything. Above are ham and cheese quinoa bites, raspberries, watermelon and peaches.
7. Sweet and Sour Chicken

On the nights that we order out, I will toss some leftovers in for lunch and the kiddos think it is such a treat to have Chinese for lunch!
8. Crab Cakes

Some berries, peaches, kiwi, mini blueberry muffins and a crab cake.
9. Tacos

Tacos, star fruit and some berries.
10. Stir Fry

This is a ginger and garlic beef and broccoli stir fry with carrot coins and berries.
All lunches are packed in the
laptop lunches which I love. We have had the same ones for years and they hold up great.
